08 November 1996
AGE-NC Project No 95-0137
increased in all wells at the site except for MW-5
• The highest concentration of dissolved hydrocarbons continues to be in the area of MW-2,
located at the northern portion of the site
• Wells MW-4 and MW-5 appear to be near the margins of the dissolved hydrocarbon-plume
west and southeast of the former UST excavation
' • The ground water plume is not well delineated on its north and northeast margins
42 RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon ground water data collected from the site, AGE has the following recommendations
• Additional assessment is necessary off-site to determine the lateral extent of dissolved
hydrocarbons A work plan for additional assessment north of the site was implemented in
late October 1996 and the results will be included in the following quarterly report
• • Once the lateral extent of dissolved hydrocarbons has been determined, a Corrective Action
Plan (CAP) should be prepared The CAP should include any necessary remediation
feasibility studies (e g in-situ air sparging pilot test) for the site
* The next quarterly monitoring at the site should be scheduled for November 1996
50. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
' upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic
conditions at the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (i a monitoring
wells), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty,
1 expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
1
