' QUARTERLY REPORT <br /> August 1994 <br /> ' Ripon Farm Service <br /> 22871 South Highway 99 <br /> Ripon, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> ' In accordance with a request from Ripon Farm Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br /> ' (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report of field activities performed at 22871 South Highway 99 <br /> in Ripon, California Monitoring wells at the site were sampled in May 1995, three soil bonngs and <br /> two additional monitoring wells were drilled and installed at the site in August 1995 The location of <br /> the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site plan is illustrated on Figure 2 (Site Plan) <br /> Originally, two soil bonngs were to be drilled on the property immediately north of the site, Junco <br /> ' Truck Stop Drilling was delayed for several months to allow the owners of the Jimco property to <br /> review the work plan and grant access permission to the Junco property However, permission to <br /> continue the investigation on the Jimco Truck Stop site could not be obtained Therefore, all borings <br /> ' were placed on Ripon Farm Service property <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION <br /> ' The site is located in a flat industrial area in northern Ripon, east of lack Tone Road (Figure 1) The <br /> site is currently operated by Ripon Farm Service (RFS) An automotive shop was located near the <br /> 1 northeast corner of the site and an office building and truck scale are located at the southern corner <br /> The surface of the remainder of the site is covered with gravel Jimco Truck Stop is located <br /> ' immediately north of the site <br /> ' 2 2 UST REMOVAL <br /> It is our understanding that four underground storage tanks(USTs)were removed from the site on <br /> ' July 15, 1987 A 10,000-gallon diesel tank(Tank#1) and a 7,500-gallon diesel tank (Tank #2) were <br /> located near the tuning shop and a 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline tank (Tank 43) and a 10,000- <br /> gallon diesel tank (Tank 94) were located approximately 120 feet east of the shop <br /> ' One sample was collected below each UST The samples were collected at depths between 18 and <br /> 21 feet Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected below tanks #1, #2, and #3 <br /> ' at the time of removal <br /> �i A letter from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental Health Division (PHS- <br />
