1 <br /> • <br /> QUARTERLY REPORT <br /> Ripon Farm Service <br /> ' 22871 South Highway 99 <br /> Ripon, California <br /> ' August 1994 <br /> ' 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Bruce McCandless, Geological Audit Services, Inc <br /> ' (GeoAudit) has prepared this Quarterly Report of monitoring activities performed during <br /> the third quarter of 1994 at 22871 South Highway 99 in Ripon, California (the site) The <br /> purpose of the ongoing' investigation is to assess and monitor hydrocarbon impacted groundwater at the site The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the site <br /> is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> 20BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> ' The site is located in a flat industrial area in northern Ripon, east of Jack Tone Road <br /> (Figure 1), the site is operated by Ripon Farm Service (RFS) An automotive shop is <br /> located near the northeast corner of the site an office building and truck scale are located <br /> ' at the southern corner The surface of the remainder of the site is covered with gravel <br /> Jimco Truck Stop is located immediately north of the site <br /> ' 2.2 UST Removal <br /> It is our understanding that four underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the <br /> site on July 15, 1987 One 10,000-gallon diesel tank (Tank #1) and one 7,500-gallon diesel <br /> tank (Tank #2)were located near the tuning shop, one 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline tank <br /> (Tank #3) and one 10,000-gallon diesel tank (Tank #4)were located approximately 120 feet <br /> ' east of the shop (Figure 2) <br /> One sample was collected below each UST The samples were collected at depths between <br /> ' 18 and 21 feet Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected below tanks <br /> #1, #2, and #3 at the time of removal <br /> Geobaol Auda Semoe+[oc. 1 <br /> Rj,a Firm 5ery c ORM 90M S <br /> 1 <br />
