Box 2009
Stockton CA 95201 '
CHEVRON, 9474 NORTH HIGHWAY 99, STOCKTON - PRELIMINARY REPORT AND REMEDIAL
ACTION PLAN
i
We have reviewed the 31 August 1989 Preliminary Report, and the 15 '
September Proposed Remedial Action plan, both prepared by Dames & Moore
for this site. The investigation included installation and sampling of
three on-site ground water monitoring wells. Based on the results of this
investigation the proposed remedial action is to remove contaminated soil
and sample the monitoring wells on a quarterly basis for one year.
No contaminants were detected in the ground water monitoring wells during
the initial round of sampling. However, prior to approving the quarterly
sampling program, the wells are to be resampled to confirm the results of
the initial investigation. In addition to the constituents analyzed for
in the initial investigation, the confirmation sampling should also
include analysis for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel .
I
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731.
THOMAS D. PELTIER '
Engineering Geologist
TDP/tdp
