Further, all necessary permits will be obtained
from local health and air quality agencies prior to implementation of the
remedial plan.
PROPOSED PROJECT SCHEDULE
Dames & Moore is prepared to proceed with implementation of the remedial
plan upon approval from Chevron U.S.A. and the San Joaquin Environmental Health
Department. A project: schedule for the scope of work described for the remedial
plan is estimated as follows:
TASK WEEK 1 LEEK 2 WEEK 3 WEEK 4 WEEK 5
Plan Review and
Approval by Chevron
Risk Modeling
Plan Submission for
Agency Review
Permitting
Excavation and
Placement of Soils
Aeration Begins
The estimated time for aeration has not been developed as of the time of
this proposal, since aeration efficiency is dependant upon weather conditions.
However, a time estimate will be developed prior to plan implementation based
upon the season of the year that aeration is actually commenced.
In Dames & Moore's opinion, the remedial effort proposed should remove those
areas of soil which exhibit residual gasoline contamination, resulting in no
further action required for subsoil contamination at the subject property.
Ground water monitoring wells installed at the subject property are proposed
to be sampled and measured on a quarterly basis for ground water quality analysis
and gradient evaluation.
