Box 5004 <br /> San Ramon, California 95001 DEC 1 1 19089 <br /> Attention: John Randall - ����+JT� ;� <br /> R£: Preliminary Report, Ground Water Monitoring Wells Installation <br /> Proposed Contaminated Subsoil Remedial Action Plan <br /> Chevron Service Station #96115 <br /> 9474 North Highway 99 at Morada Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> Pursuant to your request, we have reviewed and made comment to the letter <br /> generated by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division regarding the <br /> review of the above-referenced report and proposal prepared for the subject <br /> property by Dames & Moore. <br /> The correspondence provided to Dames & Moore's office by the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) included a copy of a letter of <br /> comment for review of the subject report and proposal by the Central California <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) dated November 8, 1989; a copy of <br /> SJCEHD standard form UST01 (3/88) "Notice of Reimbursement When State Funds Are <br /> Used", dated May 15, 1989; and a copy of the SJCEHD checklist, Form No. EH N <br /> 45\CHECLIST dated November 17, 1989. <br /> Item 1: <br /> With regard to the RWQCB letter, the comments included that the subject <br /> report and proposal had been reviewed. Specific comments in the RWQCB letter <br /> stated that ". . .prior to approving the quarterly sampling program, the wells are <br /> to be resampled to confirm the results of the initial investigation. In addition <br /> to the constituents analyzed for in the initial investigation, the confirmation <br /> sampling should also include analysis for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> diesel." <br /> In response to the RWQCB comments, Dames & Moore concurs with the required <br /> sampling and analysis to obtain approval for the proposed monitoring program. <br /> Item 2: <br /> With regard to the SJCEHD standard form UST01 (3/88) "Notice of <br /> Reimbursement When State Funds Are Used", Dames & Moore interprets this form has <br /> OFFICES WORLDWIDE <br />
