Hwy 99 <br /> Manteca, CA <br /> San -Joaquii"'-County Public Health services,� Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Quarterly Groundwater <br /> Monitoring & Remediation Status Report" dated September 25, 1995 , <br /> prepared by Apex Environtech, <br /> site . Inc. (Apex) for the above referenced <br /> The results of the groundwater samples from all nine monitoring <br /> wells were non detect for BTEX and TPH for the first time, so it <br /> appears that the groundwater and vapor extraction systems are <br /> succeeding in remediating those contaminants . EDC is still being <br /> evidenced in the water samples from the 5 monitoring wells that are <br /> being tested for this contaminant . The remediation system should <br /> continue to operate at the site <br /> removal - <br /> until PHS/EIS approves of its <br /> The last report for this site was dated April 14, 1995, and was <br /> prepared by Emcon. This report provided information through March <br /> 27, - 1995 . The September 25 , 1995, report by Apex states that they <br /> began work on the site on June 14 , 1995, after groundwater <br /> monitoring had been conducted by Emcon on May 9, 1995 . There is <br /> over 2 months of information about the' operation of the groundwater <br /> and vapor extraction system that has not been reported to <br /> The The laboratory analytical results and field note information from <br /> the May 9, 1995, monitoring event have" also not been provided to <br /> PHS/EHD. Please submit by December 15, 1995 , a report that covers <br /> all information obtained and work performed at the site from March <br /> 27, 1995, until June 14, 1995 . <br /> PHS/EHD staff made a site inspection on May 1, 1995, and was told <br /> that the total gallons of influent to the groundwater extraction <br /> system at that time was 116, 977 gallo s . The September 25, 1995, <br /> Apex report states that the total flow on June 13 , 1995 was 83 , 128 <br /> gallons which is substantially less than the gallonage reported 6 <br /> weeks earlier.
