Frontage Road, Hantera, CA
HGA Project No. 10.90-479
Page 18
via a small blower through a 350-gallon tank to remove
hydrocarbons. The 350-gallon tank would allow about 90 minutes
resident time with a combined pumping rate of 4 gpm.
Effluent ground water from the bubbling tank would be injected via
monitoring well MW-6, prior to re-injection ground water will be
sampled and analyzed for BTEX, EDB, EDC, and. TPH. Should sampling
show that a 90 minute resident time is not sufficient for complete
removal of petroleum constituents, a second 350-gallon tank will
be connected in series to the first tank to increase the efficiency
of the air bubbler system. Sufficient sampling of the air bubbler
system will be accomplished to ensure that ground water containing
}petroleum constituents will not be injected via MW-6.
6.0 RECOMENDATYONS
Based on the results of this Problem Assessment Report, NGA
recommends completion of the following tasks.
l e
® Submittal of an application fora permit:' to construct
and operate the soil venting system proposed in Section
}
5.1, to the San Joaquin Air Quality Management
"j District.
• Following issuance of a permit to construct and operate
..f the soil venting system, implement the proposed soil
venting system.
s Implement the ground-water remediation alternative
'` described as scenario 2 in Section 5.2.
