CA 95219-3842 Ripon, CA 95366-0806 <br /> CONDITIONAL CONCURRENCE WITH PHASE // SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> WORKPLAN, RIPON FARM SERVICE, 938 FRONTAGE ROAD, SAN JOAQUIN <br /> COUNTY <br /> The former Ripon Farm Service facility operated a fertilizer distribution facility at this site <br /> between about 1967 and 2008. The primary pollutants at the site are nitrate and <br /> ammonium. Landowners currently include RF Land, Inc. and AgDok Land, whereas <br /> past operators have been Ripon Farm Service. Inc. and Ripon Farm Service LLC. <br /> RF Land. Inc. has begun investigating the nature of the distribution of pollutants at this <br /> site and on 11 June 2009 destroyed the on-site water supply well. <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (Central Valley <br /> Water Board) staff reviewed the following reports <br /> • 22 June 2009 Notification of Supply Well Destruction prepared by Ground Zero <br /> Analysis Inc., <br /> • 7 July 2009 Site Characterization Work Plan Phase 11 (Revised Work Plan), <br /> prepared by Genesis Engineering and Redevelopment. <br /> The Revised Work Plan replaces the Site Characterization Work Plan Phase Il dated <br /> 12 September 2008, which Central Valley Water Board staff conditionally concurred <br /> with in a letter dated 17 October 2008. This Revised Work Plan incorporates the <br /> investigative items specifically requested in the Central Valley Water Board staff's <br /> 28 May and 9 July 2008 letters and the conditional elements specified in the October <br /> concurrence letter. <br /> The Revised Work Plan includes the following: <br /> • Seven shallow monitoring wells distributed along the north and south property <br /> boundaries. <br /> • Ten shallow borings sampled for nitrogen about every five feet to first groundwater, <br /> which is about 25 feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> Califiirnia Environmental Protection .- genc')- <br />
