GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
February 20, 2007
Ms. Amy Terrell, WRC Engineer
California Regional Water Quality Control Board -Central Valley Region
11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200
Rancho Cordova, California 95670-6114
Subject: Replacement of Damaged Monitoring Well
938 Frontage Road,Ripon Farm Services,Ripon, California
RF Land Inc. v. City of Ripon, et al.
Superior Court for San Joaquin County
Case No. CV025997
Dear Ms. Terrell:
In January 2007, Genesis Engineering&Redevelopment,LLC ("GE&R") observed the
installation of six monitoring wells in the Ripon, California area, consistent with the
Work Plan approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board(Work Plan for
Monitoring Well Installation, dated August 11, 2006). During installation of the
monitoring wells, one well, designated RMW-1S was damaged. GE&R proposes to
abandon and replace this damaged monitoring well.
The damaged well is located on the north side of Colony Road, east of the intersection of
Jack Tone Road and Colony Road, in Ripon. The well was installed to a depth of 39 feet
below grade. The damaged well will be destroyed by over-drilling the well installation,
removing the well construction material, and backfilling the borehole with cement grout.
A replacement well will be installed within 10 feet of the damaged well. The
replacement well will be installed to a depth of 39 feet, and constructed similar to well
RMW-1S.
If you have any questions regarding replacement of the damaged monitoring well, I can
be reached at(925)417-0625 or(209)251-9092.
Respectfully submitted,
Genesis Engineering& Redevelopment,LLC
04vt a,• t(
John D.
