Oak Street
Stockton, California 95205
File No.: 211601012.201.213
Dear Mr. Infurna:
This letter, prepared by Stantec Consulting Corporation (Stantec) on behalf of Atlantic Richfield
Company (ARC), a BP Affiliated Company, presents the monthly status report for
January 2009 as described in the Addendum to Interim Remediation Action Plan dated
September 10, 2008.
On January 22, 2009 Stratus Environmental, Inc. of Cameron Park, California field staff
observed Belshire Environmental Services, Inc. of Lake Forest, California remove 1,050 gallons
of water from groundwater monitoring wells MWA S, and MWA D. MW-2S was covered by a 20
cubic yard debris bin, that is being used as part of the remodeling activities for the restaurant
that currently occupies a portion of the property. MWAD went dry two hours and 35 minutes
after extraction was initiated. Groundwater was extracted from MWAS during the entire six
hours and 46 minutes the extraction apparatus was running. A total of 1,050 gallons of water
was extracted from the site.
The extracted ground water was removed from the site by Nieto and Sons Trucking, Inc. of
Brea, California on January 22, 2009 and delivered to Demenno Kerdoon in Compton, California
on January 24, 2009. The waste manifest is included as Attachment B.
Evaluation of Recovery
Groundwater recovery was approximately 50 percent lower than the previous month. With
additional potential rainfall events we anticipate better recovery in the coming months ahead. We
will continue this interim remedial action approach.
443 Status Report January 2009.doc 1
