MW-1D ran dry
almost immediately after extraction was initiated. Groundwater was extracted from MW-1 S and
MW-2S during the entire six hours and 50 minutes the extraction apparatus was running. A
total of 2,100 gallons of water was extracted from the site.
The extracted ground water was removed from the site by Nieto and Sons Trucking, Inc. of
Brea, California on December 23, 2008 and delivered to Demenno Kerdoon in Compton,
California on December 30, 2008. The waste manifest is included as Attachment B.
Evaluation of Recovery
Groundwater recovery was approximately 30 percent greater than the previous month. With
additional potential rainfall events we anticipate better recovery in the coming months ahead. We
will continue this interim remedial action approach.
443 Status Report December 2008.doc 1
