Fremont Street APN: 14124023
Stockton, CA 95205
WORKPLAN: Additional Site Assessment Work Plan
DATED: May 26, 2006
PREPARED BY: Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc. — R. Marty
STATUS: APPROVED with conditions noted below.
ADEQUATE AND NECESSARY ELEMENTS OF THE WORKPLAN [Health &
Safety Code (H&S) Section 25296.10(c)(3)1:
• install first set of monitoring wells onsite (3 shallow, 1 deep) to
investigate lateral and vertical extent of petroleum contamination from
former USTs and,
• collect and analyze "selected" soil samples for TPHg (8015m), BTEX
(8260), EDB and 1,2-DCA (8260m), and total lead (6000) and,
• Develop, survey, and quarterly sample and monitor wells and,
• Submit a report of findings to EHD.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
• Proposed locations for the new monitoring wells do not provide for an
investigation to the southwest to evaluate grab ground water
contamination noted in soil boring SB-18 (Shell Oil). An additional
shallow monitoring well is required to be installed during this phase in
the immediate area of the other "former fuel dispenser islands" area
noted in Figure 2 of the work plan.
• Proposed "MW-1 B" (deep) is shown with a 20-foot screened interval.
This length is excessive for a second saturated zone well. EHD will
only permit a 5-foot screen interval for this deep well in the
sands/gravely sands shown on the CPT log for Shell's boring, "SB-26"
recently installed at this location.
