Oak Street
Stockton,CA 95205
Batch GWE from wells not designed for production has been a problem at other sites.
In order to evaluate this proposed remedial action, the EHD will approve batch GWE on
a monthly basis for six (6) months. Monthly status reports are due at the EHD for each
.of the first six events.
If ARCO can demonstrate that the batch GWE is adequately reducing the
concentrations of dissolved petroleum in the ground water below the site, the EHD will
allow that interim remediation technology implementation. Please have all batch GWE
status reports on Geotracker in time for the EHD to review them before the next
monthly extraction event. Contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 to schedule an
appointment for each of the batch GWE events.
The work plan portion/monitoring well installation part of the IRAP is inadequate as
submitted and not approved. [H&S Code 25296.10(c)(3)]. Batch GWE for six months is
approved with the condition monthly reports are submitted to Geotracker.
An addendum is required and it is to be submitted to Geotracker by September 12,
2008 for EHD review.
if you have any questions, please contact Michael Infurna, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, at (209) 468-3454.
Sincerely,
Michael J.
