Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Re: Franzia Brothers Winery, Site Code 1946, 1700 East <br /> Highway 120, Ripon, CA <br /> Dear Diane: <br /> This letter report updates the activities at Franzia Brothers <br /> Winery (Figure 1 ) during the first quarter of 1991 . Activities <br /> at the site included monitoring of groundwater and sampling for <br /> dissolved hydrocarbons from monitoring well one (MW1 ) . <br /> Groundwater monitoring data shows the groundwater table has risen <br /> approximately one foot since the October 1990 monitoring (Table 1 <br /> 1 ) . Depth to water was 47. 650 feet on February 11, 1991. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> A groundwater sample . was collected and analyzed for benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes ( BTEX ) and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline ( TPHG) . Applied Analytical (DOHS # <br /> 1211 ) performed the analysis . The laboratory results showed <br /> non-detectable concentrations of TPHG, benzene, toluene, and <br /> ethylbenzene. Only very low levels of xylenes were reported at a <br /> concentration of 0. 6 parts per billion ( ppb ) ( Table 2 ) .
