4� 1 <br /> 1 <br />' Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2000 <br /> • Bogeth's Orchard Service Station <br />' 2393 East Highway 132, Vernalis, California <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' At your request Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Site <br />' Assessment Report for the Bogetti's Orchard Service Station site located at 2393 East Highway 132, { <br /> Vernalis, California (site) The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A pian of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 The scope of work included conducting a ground water monitoring event and <br />' obtaining laboratory analysis of soil and ground water samples <br /> This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional <br />' Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) related the subsurface investigation of the former <br /> underground storage tank (UST) system on the site <br />' Background information and previous site investigation activities, along with distribution of <br /> petroleum- impacted soil and ground water were described in Preliminary Site Assessment Report - <br /> February 2000 prepared by AGE and dated 26 April 2000 <br /> I <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />'• Ground water monitoring activities were performed in accordance with guidelines established b the <br /> p g Y <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and were performed in <br /> accordance with the approved Work Plan dated 15 April 1999 <br /> I ` <br /> 2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING <br />' On 06 June 2000, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in each <br /> well relative to the top of the well casing After ground water depth measurements were collected, <br /> monitoring wells were purged using a pre-cleaned, two-stage, PCV submersible pump <br /> Eight to twelve gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing water volumes) were evacuated from <br />' wells MW-1 through MW-5 Temperature, pH and conductivity of the purged water were measured <br /> at regular purge-volume intervals in all wells with a Hydac water analyzer Logs of the field data are <br /> included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled 55-gallon drums <br /> I <br /> I <br />
