INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment,Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> RESULTS OF <br /> ADDITIONAL GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION <br /> for <br /> Quik Stop Market No 76 <br /> 1030 South Olive Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Quik Stop Markets Inc (Quik Stop), Horizon Environmental Inc <br /> (Horizon) has conducted a soil and groundwater investigation at Quik Stop Station No 076 <br /> located in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California The investigation was requested by the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) in a March 21, 2003 letter <br /> The investigation was proposed by Horizon in Work Plan for Additional Soil and <br /> Groundwater Investigation dated April 22, 2003 The SJCEHD approved the work plan in a <br /> letter dated May 9, 2003 Copies of the SJCEHD correspondence are contained in Appendix <br /> A <br /> The purpose of this work was to further evaluate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> reported in groundwater samples collected during a soil and groundwater investigation <br /> conducted at the site in May 2002, identify water well sensitive receptors within 1000 feet of <br /> the site, and to identify underground utilities at and adjacent to the site This project was <br /> conducted in accordance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> document Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and <br /> Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, Appendix A dated 30 August 1991 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is an operating gasoline station located at 1030 South Olive Avenue in <br /> Stockton, California as shown on Figure I The essentially level site is situated at <br /> approximately 28 feet above mean sea level in Section 8, Township 1 North, Range 7 East, <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 • EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 • (916) 939-2170 .
