Quik Stop Market No 76 October 28,2003 <br /> Stockton California Results of Additional Groundwater Investigation <br /> According to information obtained from the California Water Service in Stockton, well #20 <br /> • (map ID 1) has been inactive for at least 10 ears because of water quality problems, and <br /> Y q Y <br /> well #52 is currently active Well construction information for well #52 was not readily <br /> available <br /> The Calwell well (map ID 3) was located in front of 1158 South Oro Avenue, the wellhead <br /> was covered with a locking cap and no resident was available for inquiry The Leandro and <br /> Husted wells (map IDs 5 and 6, respectively) were identified in the field as active wells <br /> Residents indicated that the Leandro well was used for drinking and irrigation water, and the <br /> Husted well was used only for irrigation water The Rule well (map ID 7) was not found in <br /> the field <br /> RESULTS OF ADDITIONAL GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION <br /> The results of this and previous investigations indicate <br /> • soils encountered to 75 feet bsg consist primarily of brown to gray silt with variable <br /> fractions of sand and clay, with minor interbedded silty sands, <br /> • no petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations reported in the soil samples collected from soil <br /> borings SB-1 through SB-3 or the monitoring well MW-1 borings as summarized in <br /> Table 1, <br /> • concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were reported in the soil boring hydropunch <br /> groundwater samples and the monitoring well MW-1 groundwater sample as <br /> summarized in Table 2, <br /> • a concentration of 210 micrograms per liter (parts per billion) TPHg was the only <br /> reported analyte in the monitoring well MW-1 groundwater sample, and <br /> • six water wells (four domestic and two municipal) are located within 2000 feet of the site <br /> as summarized in Table 3 <br /> DISTRIBUTION <br /> Horizon recommends copies of this report be forwarded to <br /> 076AddGWinvestgtn10-03 doc 6 <br /> Project No 7079 14 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL <br />
