• RESULTS OF <br /> SOIL AND GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION <br /> for <br /> Quik Stop Station No 076 <br /> 1030 South Olive Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Quik Stop Markets Inc (Quik Stop), Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) <br /> has conducted a soil and groundwater investigation at Quik Stop Station No 076 located in <br /> Stockton, San Joaquin County, California The investigation was requested by the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) in a 28 September 2001 letter <br /> (Appendix A) The investigation was proposed by Horizon in Work Plan for Soil and <br /> Groundwater Investigation dated November 12, 2001 The SJCEHD approved the work <br /> . plan in a letter dated December 27, 2001 Correspondence from the SJCEHD is contained in <br /> Appendix A <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons reported in soil samples collected during an underground storage tank (UST) <br /> removal project conducted in October 1998 at the site This report was developed in <br /> accordance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) document Tri- <br /> Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites, Appendix A dated 30 August 1991 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is an operating gasoline station located at 1030 South Olive Avenue in <br /> Stockton, California as shown on Figure 1 The essentially level site is situated at <br /> iapproximately 28 feet above mean sea level in Section 8, Township I North, Range 7 East, <br />
