Site Background <br /> Canepa's Car Wash,Park Street <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br />. well collar measuring points on April 4, 2003, approximately 0 25 feet less (greater in elevation) as the <br /> previous quarter The groundwater elevation contours indicated that the groundwater gradient was <br /> generally toward the northeast, consistent with historical groundwater gradients <br /> Quarterly groundwater monitoring activities were conducted on July 10, 2003 The laboratory analytical <br /> results for the groundwater samples collected from MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, MW-6, and MW-7 indicated <br /> that BTEX constituents were not detected at or above laboratory reported detection limits in those <br /> samples BTEX constituents were detected at a moderate concentration in the sample collected from MW- <br /> 2, and at relatively elevated concentrations in the sample from MW-5 TPH-G was detected in MW-2, <br /> MW-3, and MW-5, at concentrations of 6 2, 0 063, and 49 mg/L respectively Laboratory analytical <br /> results indicated that MTBE was detected at a concentration of 400 µg/L in MW-2 and that MTBE was <br /> not detected at or above an elevated detection limit of 500 µg/L in the groundwater sample collected from <br /> MW-5 Because the result for the MW-2 sample was inconsistent with historical results and the detection <br /> limit for the MW-5 sample was elevated, the samples were re-analyzed for MTBE by EPA Method <br /> 8260B The results of the EPA Method 8260B analyses indicated that MTBE was not detected in the <br /> samples from MW-2 and MW-5 at or above the laboratory reported detection limit of 5 0 µg/L The <br /> laboratory analytical results of the groundwater samples collected on July 10, 2003, were generally <br /> consistent with historical monitoring results <br /> The groundwater table remained above the top of all well screens during the July 2003 monitoring event <br /> The average depth to groundwater in the monitor wells was approximately 26 98 feet below the surveyed <br /> well collar measuring points on July 10, 2003, 0 37 feet deeper than the previous quarter The <br /> groundwater elevation contours indicated that the groundwater gradient was generally toward the <br /> northeast, consistent with historical groundwater gradients <br /> Quarterly groundwater monitoring activities were conducted on November 6, 2003 The laboratory <br /> analytical results for the groundwater samples collected from MW-1,MW-4, MW-6, and MW-7 indicated <br /> that BTEX constituents were not detected at or above laboratory reported detection limits in those <br /> samples BTEX constituents were detected at a low concentration in the sample collected from MW-3, at <br /> moderate concentrations in the sample collected from MW-2, and at relatively elevated concentrations in <br /> the sample from MW-5 TPH-G was detected in MW-2, MW-3, and MW-5, at concentrations of 11, 0 14, <br /> and 50 mg/L, respectively Laboratory analytical results indicated that MTBE was detected at a <br /> concentration of 1,100 µg/L in MW-2 and that MTBE was not detected at or above an elevated detection <br /> limit of 1,000 pg/L in the groundwater sample collected from MW-5 Because the result for the MW-2 <br /> sample was inconsistent with historical results and the detection limit for the MW-5 sample was elevated, <br /> the samples were re-analyzed for MTBE by EPA Method 8260B The results of the EPA Method 8260B <br /> analyses indicated that MTBE was not detected in the samples from MW-2 and MW-5 at or above the <br /> laboratory reported detection limits of 0 5 and 5 0 µg/L, respectively The laboratory analytical results of <br /> the groundwater samples collected on November 6, 2003 were generally consistent with historical <br /> monitoring results <br /> The groundwater table remained above the top of all well screens during the November 2003 monitoring <br /> event The average depth to groundwater in the monitor wells was approximately 28 27 feet below the <br /> surveyed well collar measuring points on November 6, 2003, 1 29 feet deeper than the previous quarter <br /> The groundwater elevation contours indicated that the groundwater gradient was generally toward the <br /> northeast, consistent with historical groundwater gradients <br /> Quarterly groundwater monitoring activities were conducted on January 28, 2004 The laboratory <br /> analytical results for the groundwater samples collected from MW-4, MW-6, and MW-7 indicated that <br />
