<br /> mix dominated by silt and clay, with sand and silt dominated horizons occurring at depths of
<br />' approximately 18 to 20, 26 to 28, 32 to 33, 52 to 63, 79 to 80, and 83 to 89 feet bgs Significant clay
<br /> dominated horizons were encountered from 20 to 24, 33 to 48, and 67 to 74 feet bgs Discrete
<br /> groundwater samples were collected from the paired hydropunch boring at depths between 29 to 33, 50
<br />' to 54, 82 to 86, and 98 to 102 feet bgs
<br /> CPT6 was completed northeast of the site in a gated parking lot west of San Joaquin Street The boring
<br /> was advanced to refusal at approximately 106 feet bgs According to the CPT stratigraphic log, the
<br /> lithology beneath this Iocatlon consists primarily of clay and clay/silt mixtures in the upper 55 feet of the
<br /> bonng and predominantly silt, with silt/clay mixtures down to approximately 100 feet, followed by sand
<br /> and silt down to 106 feet bgs Sand and silt dominated permeable horizons occur from 14 to 21, 55 to 62,
<br /> 65 to 67, 86 to 91, and 100 to 106 feet bgs Clay dominated horizons occur from 4 to 13, 26 to 47, 77 to
<br /> 85, and 91 to 96 feet bgs Discrete depth groundwater samples were collected from the paired
<br /> hydropunch boring at depths between 29 to 33, 48 to 52, 78 to 82, and 100 to 104 feet at this location
<br />' • CPT7 was completed to 150 feet near the former UST locations in the southwestP gin arkarea of the site
<br /> Based on the CPT stratigraphic log, the soils beneath this location consist of a heterogeneous mixture of

<br /> horizons were encountered from approximately 29 to 36, 39 to 50, 61 to 64, 69 to 74, 85 to 101, and 128
<br /> to 133 feet bgs Discrete depth groundwater samples were collected from a paired hydropunch boring at
<br /> this location at depths between 28 to 32, 76 to 80, and 105 to 109 feet bgs where refusal was met with the
<br /> hydropunch sampler
<br /> Soil boring B2 was advanced near CPT7 to determine the vertical extent of soil contamination near the r
<br /> I presumed source area Soil samples were collected at approximately 6 6-foot intervals beginning at 82 5
<br /> feet, and were planned to continue down to approximately 115 5 feet bgs No sample was obtained at the
<br /> planned depth of approximately 89 1-foot depth when the rods silted in above the sampler and the
<br /> sampler failed to open Following retrieval of the rods and collection of the soil sample at approximately
<br /> 95 7 feet, the boring sanded in and the hydraulic push sampler met refusal at a depth of approximately
<br /> 86 4 feet while attempting to push to the next sample depth
<br /> 4 2 SOIL SAMPLING RESULTS
<br /> Soil boring B2 was installed to evaluate the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in
<br /> soil in the vicinity of the former UST location Two soil samples from the boring were submitted for
<br /> laboratory analysis The soil sample laboratory analytical results are shown in Table 1, below, and in
<br /> Figure 2, Appendix A Analytical results indicate that BTEX constituents and TPH-G were detected in
<br /> Iboth of the soil samples MTBE was not detected at or above the laboratory-reporting limit in either of
