' QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> SECOND QUARTER - APRIL 1999 <br />' Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 248 East Park Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> I <br /> May 31,1999 <br />' L INTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, lnc, (Condor) conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring on April 22 and 23, <br />' 1999, at the Canepa's Car Wash facility located at 248 East Part. Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1, <br /> Appendix A) The groundwater monitoring was conducted at the request of Mr Remo Canepa, facility owner, <br /> in response to direction from Mr Ronald Rowe of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br />' Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD) The work conducted during the quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> was performed in general accordance with approved protocol formerly established for the site The scope-of- <br /> work performed was approved by Mr Ronald Rowe of the PHS/EHD This report includes a site background, a <br />' description of the field and laboratory analyses performed for the April 1999, quarterly monitoring event, <br /> discussion of results, and recommendations <br /> 2 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in the downtown business district of Stockton, California One 12,000-gallon unleaded <br />' gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 5,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST, and one 5,000-gallon diesel <br /> fuel UST were removed from the site in 1990 According to WHF Environmental Consultants, me (WHF), the <br /> soil samples collected from the UST excavation were collected from approximately 16 feet below the ground <br />' surface (bas) and contained elevated concentrations of gasoline and gasoline constituents Between September, <br /> 1993, and March, 1994, WHh installed six soil borings and seven monitor wells in and around the site Three <br /> of the monitor wells (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3) were constructed with a screened interval from 45 to 65 feet <br />' bgs MW-4 through MW-7 were constructed with a screen interval from 40 to 60 feet bgs <br /> Begnining in April, 1997, Condor implemented a quarterly groundwater tnonitoring program at the site <br /> Following the July, 1998 quarterly groundwater monitoring event, Mr Rowe of the P1IS/EI-1D ordered the <br />' installation of additional monitor wells The previously installed monitor wells (MW-1 through MW-7) are <br /> screened below the present groundwater table Water level measurements made at the site on October 21, <br /> 1998, indicated that the groundwater table was between 23 5 and 25 3 feet bgs A Work Plan has been prepared <br />' for the installation of four additional monitor wells (MW-8 through MW-11) and is currently pending approval <br /> by the PH S/EHD <br /> 3. QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING— JANUARY 1999 <br /> On April 22 and 23, 1999, a Condor representative made field observations and collected groundAater samples <br /> from the seven monitor wells at the site (see Figure 2, Appendix A for well locations) The sampling order <br />' was as follows MW-4, MW-3, MW-6, MW-5, MW-2 MW-7, and MW-1 <br /> It Nziit" <br />' �� CONDOR <br />
