Quanerly Monttonng Report,Apnl 1998 <br /> Canepa s Car Wash <br /> 348E Park St Stockton CA <br /> May 26 1998 <br /> Page 5 <br />' April 1977 MW-5 is generally down-gradient from the former location of the underground storage tanks The <br /> historical groundwater analytical data for the site are presented in Table A, Appendix B <br />' Benzene concentrations detected in MW-2, MW-3, and MW-5 exceed the maximum contaminant level (MCL) <br /> of 10 µg/L 3n drinking water(California Code of Regulations,Title 22, Drinking Water Regulatory Criteria) <br />' TPH-G and BTEX concentrations in the samples collected from all of the monitor wells except MW-5 have <br /> generally decreased since monitoring began This can not necessarily be attributed to natural attenuation, <br /> however, because the water levels have been above, or very near, the top of the well screens In MW-I, MW-2, <br /> I and MW-3 since groundwater monitoring commenced in September, 1994, and in MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, and <br /> MW-7 since the May, 1995, monitoring <br />' 6 RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Condor recommends that additional investigation be conducted to further characterize the extent of <br />' contamination at the site Further characterization should include the installation of additional monitor wells <br /> The existing monitor wells at the site have a screened interval well below the current water table and provide <br /> 41ttle information pertaining to the vadose zone/groundwater interface We further recommend that MTBE be <br />' the only gasoline oxygenates/additives analyzed for This is the third consecutive quarterly monitoring event <br /> that no gasoline oxygenates/additives, other than MTBE, were detected at or above the laboratory reported <br /> detection limits in the samples from the monitor wells Please call us at(209) 234-0518 with any questions <br /> lie !?
