I <br />' QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> • SECOND QUARTER—JULY, 2000 <br /> Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 248 East Park Street <br />' Stockton, California <br />' November 9, 2000 <br /> L INTRODUCTION <br />' Condoi Earth Technologies, Inc (Condor) conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring on July 12 and 13, <br /> 2000, at the Canepa's Cai Wash facility located at 248 East Park Street in Stockton, Califoinia (Figure 1, <br /> Appendix A) The groundwater monitoring was conducted at the request of Mr Remo Canepa, facility owner, <br />' <br /> in response to direction fiom Mr Ronald Rowe of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) The work conducted during the quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> was performed in general accordance with approved protocol formerly established for the site The scope-of- <br /> work pertormed was approved by Mr Ronald Rowe of the PHS/EHD This report includes site background <br />' information a desciiption of the field and laboratory analyses performed foi the July 2000 quarterly monitoring <br /> event, discussion of results, and recommendations <br /> 2. SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in the downtown business district of Stockton, Califoinia One 12,000-gallon unleaded <br /> gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 5,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST, and one 5,000-gallon diesel <br /> fuel UST were removed from the site in 1990 According to WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc (WHF), soil <br /> samples collected fiom the UST excavation from approximately 16 feet below the ground surface (bgs) <br /> contained elevated concentrations of gasoline and gasoline constituents Between September, 199 i and March <br /> 1994, WHF installed six soil boi rugs and seven monitor wells in and around the site Three of the monitor wells <br />' (MW-1 MW-2, and MW-3) were constructed with a screened interval fiom 45 to 65 feet bgs MW-4 through <br /> MW-7 were constructed with a screen interval tiom 40 to 60 feet bgs <br /> Beginning in April 1997, Condos implemented a quarterly groundwater monitoring program at the site <br /> F'ollowina the July 1998 quarterly gioundwatei monitoring event, Mr Rowe of the PHS/EHD ordered the <br /> installation of additional monitor wells The previously installed monntoi wells (MW-1 through MW-7) are <br /> screened below the present groundwater table A work plan dated November 17, 1998, was prepared by Condor <br /> for the installation of tour additional rrnonrtor wells (MW-8 through MW-1 1) and is currently pending approval <br /> by the PHS/EHD <br /> I3 QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING — JULY, 2000 <br /> On July 12 and 13, 2000 a Condor representative made field observations and collected groundwater samples <br /> fiom the Seven monitor Nvells at the site (see Figure 2, Appendix A, For well locations) The sampling order was <br /> as fol lows M W-6 M W-i M W-1, M W-4, M W-7, M W-1, and M W-5 <br /> I `� CONDOR <br />
