Box 388
Stockton, CA 95202-0388
RE: Water Well Inventory Report, Canepa's Car Wash,248 E.Parr Street, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Rowe:
A water well inventory was conducted by Condor to identify potential groundwater receptor points within
a 1,000 foot radius of the above referenced site. The site is located within the Stockton West Quadrangle,
Township I North, Range 6 East, Section 2, Parcels L, M, N, and P. The well survey consisted of a
records review and interviews with public officials at the State Department of Water Resources (DWR),
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (PHS/EHD), and the City
of Stockton Public Works Department (City of Stockton), followed by inspection of the area within the
survey radius to identify potential water well users.
Water Well Inventory
Mr. Don Schuder of the DWR was contacted regarding water wells within the study area. Mr. Schuder
indicated that the DWR had a record of one (1) well within the study area. Mr. Ron Rowe of the
PHS/EHD and Mr. Jason Anders of the City of Stockton were contacted and confirmed the presence of
the well identified by the DIAIR. The PHS/EHD and the City of Stockton did not have records of any
additional wells in the study area. Mr. Anders indicated that the PHS/EHD would have a more
comprehensive record base than the City of Stockton.
Subsequently, a meeting with Mr. Rowe and a records review were conducted at the PHS/EHD. The
meeting and records review did not indicate the presence of additional wells within the study area.
The field portion of the water well inventory consisted of walking and driving the area of the survey
radius. The study area consisted of predominantly residential and commercial buildings. No additional
water wells were visually identified within the study area.
Inventory Results
The water well inventory indicated that zero (0) private water wells and one (1) public water well were
located within the subject area. The subject area and the location of the public water well are shown in
figure 1, attached. The public water well was identified by the DWR as well IN, 6E, 2M1. located
approximately 900 feet north of the site, on the south side of East Poplar Street, between San Joaquin and
Hunter Streets. The City of Stockton and the San Joaquin County PHS/EHD identified the well owner
as California Water Service Company of Stockton, California, a local water purveyor. According to
California Water Service Company, the well, identified as well 42-01, was put into service in I950. The
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING • GEOTECHNICAL
