This case meets all of the required criteria of the Policy. A summary evaluation of
compliance with the Policy is shown in Attachment 1: Compliance with State Water Board
Policies and State Law. The Conceptual Site Model upon which the evaluation of the case has
been made is described in Attachment 2: Summary of Basic Case Information (Conceptual
Site Model). Previous Recommendations are included in Attachment 3: Previous
Recommendations. Highlights of the case follow:
This Site is an active commercial petroleum fueling facility and car wash. An unauthorized release
was reported in May 1992 following the removal of three gasoline USTs in October 1991. Soil
vapor extraction was conducted between March 2012 and present for a total of 3,370 hours, which
reportedly removed 12,008 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg).
Groundwater extraction was conducted between March 2012 and present for a total of
3,370 hours, which reportedly removed 275,930 gallons of contaminated groundwater including
30 pounds of dissolved TPHg. Since 1996, 19 groundwater monitoring wells (some multi-
chambered) have been installed and monitored. According to groundwater data, water quality
objectives have been achieved or nearly achieved for all constituents except in the source area.
The petroleum release is limited to the soil and shallow groundwater. According to data available
in GeoTracker, there are no supply wells regulated by the California Department of Public Health
or surface water bodies within 1,000 feet of the defined plume boundary. Reportedly, two domestic
water supply wells lie within 1,000 feet of the defined plume boundary. One well is 250 feet east
PEI'CA MARCUS,CHAIR I THOMAS HOWARD,E%ECU7WE DIRECTOR
1001 1 Street,Sacramento,CA 95811 1 Melling Addreni P.O.Box 100,Secremento,Ce 95812-0100 1 www.weterboerds.ca.gov
0 RECYCLED PAPER
