Quarterly Report - November 1997 <br /> PACIFIC CAR WASH <br /> 4405 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ms Lila Billheimer, Chief Executor for the Estate of J C <br /> Shaughnessy,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for 4405 <br />' Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California(the site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A <br /> plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br />' The scope of work of this investigation included the installation of six ground water monitoring <br /> wells, and to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water and to <br />' characterize ground water 'flow direction and gradient on the site This report is prepared in <br /> accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br />' Board for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site was included in AGE's <br /> Preliminary Site Investigation and Evaluation Report -August 1996 dated 09 September 1996 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 2 1 REVIEW OF REGIONAL DEPTH TO GROUND WATER MAPS <br />' Review of depth to ground water maps published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and <br />' Water Conservation District dating back to 1971 indicates that historical ground water depths may <br /> have been as low as 55 feet below surface grade (bsg) near the site <br />' 22 DRILLING ACTIVITIES NOVEMBER 1997 <br /> On 18 through 21 November 1997,six soil borings(MWI through MW6)were advanced on and off- <br /> site as part of ongoing site assessment activities related to an existing UST facility Soil borings <br /> MWI through MW6 were advanced vertically to maximum depths of 65 feet below surface grade <br />' (bsg) utilizing a B-60 truck-mounted drill ng equipped with 8-inch and 10-inch diameter hollow <br /> stem augers During drilling activities, all nnseate was containerized in 55-gallon drums and soil <br /> cuttings were stockpiled on plastic sheeting in an area at the site lacking public access The soil <br /> boring locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentat,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
