' Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2003 <br /> PACIFIC CAR WASH <br />' 4405 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 4405 Pacific Avenue <br /> (the site), Stockton, California The scope of work included conducting a quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring event and preparation of this report The objectives were to characterize, assess and <br />' monitor concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in ground water and to characterize ground water <br /> flow direction and gradient at the site The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> rThis report is prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)for investigation of underground storage <br />' tank(UST)sites A summary ofprevious investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared <br /> Preliminary Site Investigation and Evaluation Report - January 1997, dated 15 January 1997, <br /> ground water monitoring data acquired to date is included in the tables of this report <br /> Previous soil characteristics data obtained by Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) and during soil <br /> • boring/well drilling enabled AGE to define five informal hydrogeoloDe units (Multi-Level <br />' Monitoring Well Installation Report -- Fourth Quarter 2003, dated 10 May 2004) The informal <br /> hydrogeologic units were defined as First Water Zone(15-45 feet bsg),First Confining Unit(45-70 <br /> feet bsg), Second Water Zone(70-95 feet bsg), Second Confining Unit(95-115 feet bsg) and Third <br /> Water Zone (115 to at least 125 feet bsg) <br /> The following is a brief summary of fourth quarter site assessment activities performed at the site <br /> • 25 November 2003 - Depth to water measurements collected at wells MW-1 through <br /> MW-19, ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-14 (A-D), MW-16 (A-E), <br /> MW-17 (A-C), MW-18 (A-E) and MW-19 (A-C), <br /> 26 November 2003 - Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-4 through MW-12, <br />' • 28 November 2003 - Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-1 through MW-3, <br /> MW-13 (A-D) and MW-15 (A-D) <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 25 November 2003,a ground water monitoring event was performed at the site on ground water <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-19, construction details for each monitoring well are <br /> summarized in Table 1 Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in the AGE- <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
