Applied GeoSystemsstandard <br /> methods for held work are described in Appendix A. The geologist initiated Chain of <br /> -- Custody Records which accompanied the samples to the analytical laboratories. Copies of e <br /> those documents are in Appendix B. <br /> I <br /> Applied GeoSystems was at the site on June 6 through 8, 1990, to observe Wayne Drilling <br /> of Lincoln, California, drill rive 8-inch diameter soil borings (B-1 through B-S): The <br /> locations of the soil borings are shown on Plate P-2. <br /> i � I <br /> r The locations of the borings were selected using ARCO's Preliminary Tank Replacement <br /> Assessment guidelines described in our Work flan (Applied GeoSystems, May 15, 1990). <br /> Boring B-1 was drilled approximately 2-1/2 feet from the edge of the tank area near the fill <br /> 3 <br /> ends of the product tanks, boring B-2 was drilled on the southwest end of the existing tank <br /> cavity, and boring B-3 was drilled on the northeast end of the existing tank cavity. Borings <br /> B-4 and B-5 were drilled in the area proposed as the new tank cavity;boring B-4 was drilled <br /> in the north corner approximately 10 feet from the existing tank cavity, and.boring B-5 was <br /> drilled on the southwest side of the proposed area(Plate'P-2). <br /> u ,4pplsed GeoSystems <br />
