Status Report <br /> ARCO Facility No 6100 <br /> Tracy,Calffonna <br /> . Page 3 <br /> conducted in September and October 2000 and subsequent monitoring and data collection <br /> activities that occurred following the installation of monitoring well MW-1 Based on the <br /> findings of the investigation and general information presented during the meeting, all <br /> parties present concluded that further assessment is warranted Delta submitted a work <br /> plan to conduct an additional subsurface investigation on May 22, 2001 The land owner <br /> south of the ARCO facility did not grant Delta permission to conduct the proposed offsrte <br /> subsurface assessment activities on the property Therefore, as stated In PHS/EHD's <br /> letter dated June 7, 2001, the offsite investigation will be contingent on the information <br /> from the onsite work Delta has retained Western Strata Exploration of West Sacramento <br /> to conduct onsite assessment activities beginning August 27, 2001 <br /> PRODUCT RECOVERY <br /> Delta continued to remove free product from well MW-1 on a weekly basis during the <br /> second quarter 2001 The measured product thickness ranged from 0 69 to 134 feet <br /> Approximately 8 75 gallons of product were removed from well MW-1 during the second <br /> quarter 2001 Product thicknesses and quantities of product removed from well MW-1 <br /> are presented in Table 1 Gasoline and water recovered from monitoring well MW-1 is <br /> being stored onsite in DOT-approved 55-gallon steel drums pending disposal Delta will <br /> . continue to bail product from MW-1 on a weekly basis <br /> MONITORING OF WATER IN VAPOR EXTRACTION WELLS <br /> Depth to groundwater measurements were collected from wells VW-1 through VW-6 and <br /> VW-12 on May 14, 2001 All other vapor extraction wells are either dry or contain only <br /> a small amount of water that is not rechargeable, likely the result of moisture that has <br /> accumulated in the bottom of the well Table 2 presents the depth to water measurements <br /> to the vapor extraction wells recorded during the second quarter 2001 Vapor extraction <br /> well VW-1 was checked for floating product weekly between April 2 and May 14, 2001 <br /> No floating product was observed in the well <br /> If you have any questions regarding this report, please contact Jay Johnson at <br /> (530) 676-6000 <br /> Sincerely, <br /> DELTA ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS, INC <br /> Scott Bittinger a J son R G <br /> Staff Geologist Project Manager <br /> C IARC0161001status Report16100 status-rpt 2Q01 doc <br />
