WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER(First 2006)
1 Stratus monitored all vapor extraction and monitoring wells for the presence of water and free
product on March 28, 2006 Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-8,
MW-9, MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, VW-2, VW-3, VW-5, and the domestic well Well MW-15 had free
product and was not sampled Wells MW-1, VW-1, and VW-4 had a product sheen and were not
sampled VW-6 was Inaccessible and therefore was not monitored or sampled
2 Off-site monitoring wells MW-16 through MW-20 Installed during December 2005, could not be
monitored or sampled due to saturated ground conditions These wells are scheduled to be
developed and sampled during second quarter 2006
3 Stratus conducted twelve site visits to conduct routine operation and maintenance, and to collect the
required discharge compliance air samples from the SVE system Free product, If measured, was
also manually bailed during these site visits
4 Stratus bailed approximately 2 gallons of product/water mixture from MW-1, approximately 9 gallons
from well MW-15, approximately 2 gallons from well VW-1, and approximately 2 gallons from well
VW-4
5 Stratus compiled and evaluated the monitoring and sampling data
WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER(Second 2006)
1 Monitoring for the presence of free product in wells MW-1, MW-4, MW-15, VW-1, and VW4 will be
• conducted periodically, and if present, the floating product will be removed by manual balling
2 Water levels will be measured and samples will be collected from wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-8,
MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, MW-16 through MW-20, VW-1, and VW-4 A water sample will also be
collected from the water supply well Wells MWA and MW-15 will also be sampled If floating
product is not present
3 The next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for June 2006 Groundwater samples will be
analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX),
tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl
tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA),
1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260E
4 Bi-monthly site visits will be conducted to monitor system performance, maintain equipment, and to
collect compliance samples from the SVE system
5 Newly installed wells MW-16 through MW-20 were developed on April 25, 2006 The wells are
scheduled to be sampled in May 2006, and a well installation report will be submitted after the
receipt of analytical data
