Site Conceptual Model October 3,2002 <br /> ARCO Facility No 6100 <br /> 2 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> The site is currently an active service station located approximately 5 miles southwest of Tracy, <br /> California Aboveground facilities consist of a station building containing a mini-mart, two <br /> dispenser islands, and a restroom building (Figure 2) Originally, one 550-gallon waste oil <br /> underground storage tank (UST), one 10,000-gallon gasoline UST, and four 6,000-gallon <br /> gasoline USTs were present at the site The waste oil tank was removed in 1987 In November <br /> 1990, the five gasoline USTs were removed, and four new 10,000 gallon USTs were installed in <br /> a separate UST cavity ARCO upgraded the product piping lines and dispensers in <br /> February 2002 <br /> 2.2 Topography and Surface Conditions <br /> The site is located on the eastern slope of the coast range mountains at an elevation of <br /> approximately 290 above feet mean sea level Artificial fill material has been placed beneath the <br /> site and Patterson Pass Road, creating a generally flat surface The natural topography in the area <br /> slopes toward the southeast Asphalt and concrete cover approximately 99 percent of the site and <br /> landscaped planters cover approximately 1 percent of the property <br /> 2 2.1 Drainage <br /> The ground surface at the site appears to flow toward Patterson Pass Road Catch basins situated <br /> along Patterson Pass Road appear to capture the water, but the ultimate destination of this storm <br /> drain system is not known There may also be some flow of surface water off the site onto the <br /> surrounding undeveloped properties immediately adjacent to the site <br /> 2.2 2 Zoning and Land Use <br /> The areas surrounding the property are undeveloped Calls to Underground Service Alert (USA) <br /> during previous site investigations identified the presence of a petroleum pipeline belonging to <br /> Tosco Corporation in the general site vicinity The exact location, construction details, or the <br /> nature of the material transported in this pipeline are not known <br /> • <br /> P\Bp-Arco for URS161001Reports16100 SCM doc Page 2 Stratus <br />
