WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER(First 2005) 1 Stratus conducted two site visits during the first quarter 2005 to complete plumbing between the piping manifold and the newly installed Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer 2 Stratus prepared and submitted an authority to construct (ATC) application (dated January 11, 2005) for the new Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer to San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution District 3 Stratus retained an electrical contractor during February 2005 to make connections between the existing electric distribution panel and the control panel of the thermal oxidizer This work was completed during March 2005 4 Stratus received an ATC (dated February 7, 2005) from SJVAPCD authorizing the start-up of the newly installed Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer 5 Stratus retained a propane vendor to install a 500-gallon propane tank and to provide propane service required for the operation of the thermal oxidizer 6 Stratus monitored all vapor extraction and monitoring wells for the presence of water and free product on March 14, 2005 Groundwater samples were collected on March 15, 2005 from wells MW-2, MW-8, MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, VW-2, VW-3, VW-5, VW-6, and the domestic well Wells MW-1, VW-1, and VW4 had a sheen and were not sampled Well MW-15 was not sampled due to the presence of floating product Two gallons of product/water mixture were manually bailed from well MW-15 The other vapor and monitoring wells were either dry or could not be sampled due to poor well recovery • 7 Stratus compiled and evaluated the first quarter 2005 monitoring and sampling data WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (Second 2005) 1 Stratus will continue to remove floating product periodically, if present, from wells MW-1, MW-15, VW-1, and VW-4 2 The next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for June 2005 Groundwater samples will be analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260B 3 Stratus will conduct start-up operations of the Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer during third week of April 2005 4 After initiating operation of thermal oxidizer, Stratus will conduct bi-monthly site visits to monitor system performance, maintain equipment, and to collect compliance samples Current Phase of Project Monitoring 1 Remediation Frequency of Groundwater Sampling All Monitoring Wells=Quarterly Frequency of Groundwater Monitoring Quarterly Sampling Date March 15, 2005 Is Free Product(FP)Present on Site Yes (sheen at MW-1, VW-1, and VW-4 and FP at MW-15) .
