(AGE) reports that no environmental field work was performed at 6230 Pacific Avenue,
Stockton, California (site) during the second quarter of calendar year 2009 .
As you are aware, the Under Ground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund ( USTCF) claim for the site has
nearly reached the financial cap . We have been awaiting California Regional Water Quality Control
Board - Central Valley Region (Regional Board) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJCEHD) determination of a suspected second unauthorized release at the site. Both
the Regional Board and SCJEHD have required additional information or additional ` lines of
evidence to support a potential second release at the site.
The following is a chronology of events that occurred in the second quarter 2009 :
• On 28 May 2009 , a Preliminary 5 -year Review Summary Report was issued by the USTCF
(Mr. Robert Trommer) . In the report, Mr. Trommer iterated the need to proceed with work
at the site with caution due to the limited amount of funds left available for the claim.
• On 25 June 2009 , AGE received a letter from SJCEHD directing submittal of a work plan for
additional site assessment, a soil gas survey and remediation feasibility studies by 09 July
2009 (Note:AGE submitted to SJCEHD the Soil- Vapor Survey Work Plan as required by
SJCEHD on 09 July 2009).
On 21 July 2009 , SJCEHD issued a. letter directive in accordance State Water Resources Control
Board (State Board) Resolution #2009 -0042, reducing ground water monitoring and sampling to
semi-annual for ground water monitoring wells M W - 1 through MW -3 and soil vapor extraction wells
SV- 1 through SV- 9 ; to annual for ground water monitoring well M W - 11 and to biennial for ground
Road.
