All three contaminants exhibit
a steady general decline with an uptick over the last three quarters. SVE was in
operation ( March 1999 to January 2008) during the continuous monitoring period,
except for the last three monitored quarters; GWE has been in operation since
November 2004. The 170 , 000 ppb MTBE in July 1998 fits the post-July 2002
concentrations, although MTBE was at 46 , 000 ppb in July 2000. In the EHD's
opinion , the data do not clearly demonstrate a release impacted shallowest
groundwater near and down-gradient of the dispensers and the former and
current UST area. The concentration uptick over the last three quarters of
monitoring may represent a rebound effect following cessation of the SVE
system operation .
Second Release Evaluation 0409
