(AGE) contracted Friedman
& Bruya, Inc., Environmental Chemists (F & B) of Seattle, Washington, to evaluate selected
laboratory analytical data collected from ground water monitoring wells located at 6230 Pacific
Avenue, Stockton, California. F & B evaluated the data for presence of butanes (isobutane and n-
butane), pentanes and alcohols . These constituents would indicate a relatively recent (2 to 5 years)
release ofpetroleum hydrocarbons at the site and migration of these constituents to the ground water
table.
Based upon their evaluation of the data (attached letter), F & B has determined that a recent release
has occurred at the Canepa' s Pacific site. It would appear that a release of hydrocarbons from the
existing underground storage tank (UST) system has occurred. Based on these findings, AGE
recommends the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department issue an Unauthorized
r Release (UAR) report for current UST system at the site.
837 Shaw Road, Stockton, California 95215
Telephone (209) 467 - 1006 Fax (209 ) 467 - 1 118
