Hurler Street
Stockton, CA 95204
Dear Mr. Canepa,
We have written this letter in order to keep you informed of the status of our work regarding the
Pacific Ave, and Park St. sites. There have been some recent developments that should be of
interest to you.
Mr. Ron Rowe of San Joaquin Cotmry PHD-EHD recently reviewed his files and spoke with us
by telephone in early June. He expressed his intent to approve additional investigation activities
proposed by Condor Earth Technologies over a year ago. Mr. Rowe also expressed an interest in
reevaluating the operation and efficiency. of the soil vapor extraction system. Mr. Rowe has not
sent us a letter directing us to initiate either of these activities as of this writing. Funding from
the UST fund is dependent upon his directives. Please be assured that we are ready to act on
these projects when the time comes.
Presently, quarterly monitoring of groundwater continues and the next sample collection event is
scheduled for the 10th and 11th of July at Pacific Ave. , and the 12'' and 13th of July at Park St.
A preliminary copy of the report from the previous quarter was sent to you recently. Your
review and approval of the report is requested before we submit it to the County. We plan to
send the County the final report by the 14'' of July. If you have questions about the report or
procedures you may call Condor and ask to speak with me or Don Kresse.
The soil vapor extraction system is currently online after repairs. Condor has made four major
repairs in the past year, but this is consistent with our pattern of operating on alternate months or
weeks. This pattern is intended to allow gas vapors to accumulate to higher concentrations, then
be removed and destroyed by thermal oxidation. This is more efficient than destroying low
concentrations on a daily basis.
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
http://www.condorearth,com
