P Kasey Foley, REHS <br /> 9 � iFp'R�` Website: www.sjgov. org/ehd Linda Turkatte, REHS <br /> Phone: (209) 468=3420 <br /> Fax: (209) 464-0138 <br /> July 27, 2011 <br /> Mr. Remo Canepa <br /> Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 1536 North Hunter <br /> Stockton , California 95204-5915 <br /> Subject: Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 6230 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California 95207-3712 <br /> Dear Mr. Canepa: <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) is extending the date <br /> from 29 July 2011 to 15 August 2011 to submit a report that will : <br /> • Present findings and evidence to support a potential second release at the above- <br /> referenced site; <br /> Analytical results for groundwater samples collected at this site in September <br /> 2010; <br /> Demonstrate plume stability, addressing the entire vertical extent of impacted <br /> groundwater and the lateral delineation at each depth interval ; <br /> • Include initial and current sorbed mass estimates to put into perspective the <br /> significance of removed mass; <br /> • Propose a monitoring and sampling program that will adequately characterize the <br /> dissolved plume (including the plume's distribution , concentration trends , and <br /> distinguishes the "new" release); and <br /> • Propose potential remedial methods for impacted groundwater and saturated soil. <br /> Mr. Arthur Deicke of Advanced GeoEnvironmental , Inc. (AGE) requested this extension by <br /> email dated 11 July 2011 . <br /> The EHD is postponing the meeting to be attended by you and AGE representatives <br /> previously scheduled for 22 August 2011 until after the EHD has had an opportunity to <br /> review the above-referenced report. <br /> If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or by email <br /> at vmccartnev(o)sicehd . com. <br />
