' Site History <br /> Canepa's Car Wash(Pacific Avenue) <br /> Page 9 of 9 <br /> been removed from the groundwater during the third quarter of 2005 and approximately 160 pounds of <br /> gasoline since the pump and treat system was placed in operation on November 1, 2004 The soil vapor <br /> extraction system removed approximately 96 pounds of gasoline from the soil during the third quarter of <br /> 2005 and approximately 9,856 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons since the SVE system was placed in <br /> service on November 1, 2004 <br /> Fourth quarter 2005 monitoring activities were conducted on October 13, 2005, and September 12, 2005 <br /> Field observations were made at the 11 site monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-7 and MW-9 through <br /> MW-12D) and one soil vapor extraction well (SV4) on October 13, 2005 Groundwater samples collected <br /> from the monitoring wells indicated that none of the constituents of concern were detected at or above the <br /> laboratory reported detection limits in monitoring wells MW-4, MW-9, and MW-12D All other <br />' measurements and laboratory data were generally consistent with previous quarters and trends with the <br /> exception of EDB and MTBE The concentration of MTBE at MW-3 was the highest ever detected at the <br /> monitoring well since monitoring began in August of 1996 EDB was detected for the first time at the Site <br /> Iin MW-1 <br /> Groundwater samples collected from the SVE wells (SV-1 through SV-9) on September 12, 2005 and from <br /> SV4 on October 13, 2005, indicated that concentrations of BTEX, MTBE, or TPH-G were detected at or <br /> above the laboratory detection limits in all the wells,which is consistent with historic results for those wells <br /> The system operated approximately 1,449 7 hours between July 29, 2005 and October 31, 2005, which is <br /> 63% of the time The system had been in operation for a total of 4,418 7 hours since it began operating <br /> (November 1, 2004) through October 31, 2005 The groundwater treatment system removed petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons from approximately 354,033 gallons of groundwater during the fourth quarter of 2005, and <br /> a total of approximately 1,059,346 gallons had been treated by the system as of October 31, 2005 The <br /> average groundwater pumping rate between July 29, 2005 and October 31, 2005, was approximately 3 96 <br /> gallons per minute Condor estimated that approximately 66 63 pounds of gasoline had been removed <br /> I from the groundwater during the fourth quarter of 2005 and approximately 221 3 pounds of gasoline since <br /> the pump and treat system was placed in operation on November 1, 2004 The soil vapor extraction <br /> system removed approximately 289 3 pounds of gasoline from the soil during the fourth quarter of 2005 <br /> and approximately 10,145 4 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons since the SVE system was placed in <br /> service on November 1, 2004 <br /> Condor replaced the groundwater extraction pump used in MW-I in late December 2005 <br /> P 11000_M\1707 Canepa117071'Canepa Pacific\Repoib\QMR1200611st gti\Appeadix\BCanepa's SITE HISTORY dof- <br />
