6 ' Y] SYSTEM CONTROLS AND SAFETY SHUTDOWNS. The fully automatic controls of the system shall be divided into the following categories (Please refer to the appropriate appendix for more information on typical control sequences) ' 1 Start-up Controls APPENDIX A 2 Burner and Flame Safety Controls APPENDIX B ' 3 Inlet and Outlet Temperature Controls APPENDIX C ' Standard controls shall consist of state-of-the-art Square D Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) in a NEMA 3R panel within a weatherproof enclosure This PLC system shall be included in lieu of relay logic in order to facilitate trouble shooting via a first-out detection ' system The LCD display shall indicate the reason for system shutdown (i a high/low gas pressure, loss of airflow, high catalyst outlet temperature, low catalyst inlet temperature) The PLC shall also `walk' the operator through system start-up by displaying such messages as `trial ' for ignition', `pilot on', `bumer on', and `push start button' The control panel shall include necessary displays for system status indication This shall include a three pen hard copy temperature recorder/controller to control and monitor the inlet and outlet temperatures of the ' oxidizer as well as the system airflow A flame strength meter shall indicate the strength of the flame signal to indicate any bumer service needs J] START-UP AND TRAINING SERVICES: A factory trained service technician shall be supplied at a daily rate plus travel and living expenses to start up and balance the Integrated VTM Therm-Cat Operator training can be conducted during this time period Typically, start-up shall require one or two man days K] ITEMS NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THIS PROPOSAL: • All compliance testing of Integrated VTM o All local and regulatory permits • Mechanical and electrical installation Q Sales tax, freight charges and any additional charges or taxes I I I CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES GBL-8585
