I am the Senior Environmental Engineer in charge of managing <br /> 17 environmental issues associu ud with Unocal's former rctail gasoline operations in Northern <br /> 18 California, including ci,vironniental issues associated with former Unocal service station 2859, <br /> 19 located mi 1665 Pacific Avcnue, Stockton, California (the "Site"). I have personal knowledge of <br /> 20 the matters stated heroin or they are stated based upon information and belief. <br /> 21 2. Since March 1992, I have been the project manager responsible for <br /> 22 directing the investigation of the nature and extent of the soil and grniiindwater contamination at <br /> 23 the Site resulting from the release of,petroleum from underground gtnrage tanks formerly located <br /> 24 at the Site. In my capacity ac Prnject manager, I have had ongoing contact and discussions with <br /> 2.5 the San Joaquin C'.onnty Puhlic Health Services, Environmental Health Division ("PHS/EHD"), in <br /> 26 its capacity as Local Oversight Agency, concerning the nature and extent of the corrective action <br /> 27 required at the Site. My responsibilities have also included directing the activities of outside <br /> 28 consultants retained by Unocal to assist it in performing the work required by PHS/FM. <br />
