Unocal Corporation <br /> Dear Mr. Trey: <br /> This will confirm that San Joaquin County and Unocal Corporation have reached <br /> an agreement "in principle" to settle all outstanding environmental enforcement matters arising <br /> from the unauthorized release of petroleum from underground storage tanks at former Unocal <br /> service station sites m Stockton, California,on terms and conditions including the following: <br /> 1 Unocal shall pay penalties in the amount of$182,500; <br /> 2. Unocal will not admit any of the alleged violations; and <br /> 3.
