The EHD: had directed that the risk and hazard posed by the high TPHg concentrations in soil gas be addressed before closing the site: The EHD received an evaluation that did not address the high TPHg concentration except to note that there was no California Health Hazard Screening Level (CHHSL) established for TPHg. While that may be true, the EHD considers the potential hazard posed by the high TPHg concentrations to be an issue that must still be addressed prior to initiating the site closure process.
