INTRODUCTION Cir <br /> At the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterpnses,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) detailing design of a remediation <br /> system for the "core" petroleum hydrocarbon-Impacted area at 2402 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, <br /> California(the site) The site setting is Illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and well locations are <br /> depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The RAWP is prepared in response to a request by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for corrective action at leaking underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 2402 Pacific Avenue, on the northeast corner at the intersection of Pacific <br /> Avenue and Castle Street, in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California(Figure 1) The site <br /> is further described as being located in the northeast quarter of Section 6, Township 2 North Range <br /> 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS <br /> Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) <br /> 2 1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> fThe site is currently vacant, with all structures and improvements removed circa 1996 The site <br />■ previously operated as a gasoline dispensing station from the early 1950's through March of 1996 <br /> The property encompasses approximately 0 15 acres or 6,325 square feet <br /> I <br /> 22 PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION <br /> The following is a brief summary of previous investigation for USTs formerly located at the site <br /> Ia 144- <br /> • On 12 March 1996, three 10,000-gallon USTs were excavated and removed from the site <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected beneath two of the three <br /> removed USTs at depths of approximately 17 to 18 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br /> • On 25 and 26 July 1996, preliminary site assessment activities were conducted by advancing <br /> Advanced GcoEn+iroamcnlal,Inc <br /> f 4-\j <br />
