PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF CONTINGENCY PLAN <br /> The purpose of this plan is to minimize hazards to human health and the environment from fire, <br /> explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous materials to air, soil, or <br /> surface water. The plan will outline facility-specific emergency procedures that have been <br /> developed and are to be implemented in the event of an emergency hazardous waste situation. <br /> This plan has been designed to comply with the following federal regulations: <br /> • EPA's Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Contingency Planning Requirements: 40 <br /> CFR part 264, Subpart D; 40 CFR part 265, Subpart D. <br /> • OSHA's Emergency Action Plan: 29 CFR 1910.38(a). <br /> • OSHA's Emergency Response Plan: 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(2) <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PLANT OPERATIONS <br /> Operations at this plant consist of manufacturing and wholesaling of wood products. There are <br /> two main manufacturing facilities, the mill and the truss shop facility. <br /> The manufacturing facility does the following: resawing, trimming, and ripping of lumber into <br /> smaller dimensions, stacking and storing of lumber into smaller dimensions and storing lumber <br /> for wholesale; and the turning and planing of wood to produce specialty lumber products of <br /> various dimensions. <br /> FACILITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM <br /> Name Responsibilities <br /> Mark Berger General Manager of Operations <br /> Gary Thronhill Production Manager <br /> Jose Lopez Head Maintenance <br /> 2 <br />
