GETT' LER - RYAN INC. <br /> August,5, 1998 <br /> Mr. James Chinchiolo <br /> Chinciolo Realtors <br /> 900 West Benjamin Holt <br /> Stockton, California 95207 <br /> Subject: Monitoring Well Destruction Notification Letter <br /> Former Tosco (Unocal) Service Station No. 5421 <br /> 7303 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> Mr. Chinciolo: <br /> At the request of Tosco Marketing Company (Tosco), Gettler-Ryan Inc.. (GR) will be <br /> performing environmental services associated with monitoring well destruction activities at the <br /> above referenced site (Figure 1). It has been determined by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) that all site investigation activities have been <br /> completed and that case closure has been granted.in a letter issued by SJCEHD to the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) on July 12, 1998. <br /> Woodward Drilling Company (C57-710079), a Tosco approved contractor, will be responsible <br /> for all well destruction- activities. Well destruction will be performed in accordance with <br /> California Department of Water Resources' California Well Standards (Bulletins 74-81 and 74- <br /> 90) and SJCEHD guidelines. Site activities are scheduled for August 27 and 28, 1998. A <br /> total of four wells (MW-1 through MW-4) will be drilled out to their total depth with a hollow <br /> stem auger and backfilled to three feet below ground surface with neat cement using a tremie <br /> pipe and pump.
