Pershing Avenue Stockton CA
Dear Mr. Collins :
As you know, earlier this week we met with representatives
of the property owner, Boettcher Western Properties III
Ltd. and the environmental consultant who reviewed the
work to date and bids from the various consultants
regarding soil remediation. During a long meeting, we
reviewed a report prepared by the independent consultant
and their recommendations .
All in all the meeting was very productive . The property
owner has a clear understanding of what is known to date
about the contamination and lithology. One of the
significant concerns raised by the consultant was the
depth of the soil contamination. The consultant pointed
.o I tL f r
taau. .7 V-1- rGlllCUlri Lel VlA fila Y` not ie cost Cif 4l:t1 v-G 11
the water table raises to 1986 levels, soil "cleaned" by
vapor extraction may be re-contaminated.
The property owner has indicated a desire to undertake a
number of activities concerning this property. One of
these was a request to the independent consultant for
preparation of detailed bid specifications for the next
phase of work on this property. At this time, to
alleviate any concerns you may have with forward progress,
we are providing you with a rough schedule of events in
the near future .
1 . We anticipate receipt of bid specifications by August
26 , 1994 .
2 . We should be able to reach a consensus as to the bid
contents by September 2 , 1994 .
F:\TRN\18498\C\R0ETTCHS.BKS
10096-18498/cjm/08/11/94/3
