Pershing <br /> Stockton, CA. 95207 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division, (PHS/EHD) , has reviewed the "Evaluation of Remedial <br /> Alternatives for Petroleum Hydrocarbon Impacted Soil° dated <br /> December 22, 1983 and submitted by McLaren/Hart. PHS/EHD has the <br /> following comments : <br /> -According to Article 11, of the Corrective Action <br /> Regulations, Chapter 15 of the Underground Storage Tank <br /> Regulations, Section 2721 (c) , it is stated that the <br /> regulatory agency shall take appropriate action pursuant <br /> to Division 7, commencing with Section 13000 of the ' <br /> California Water Code, to ensure that corrective action <br /> complies with applicable policies for water quality <br /> control and applicable water quality control plans . <br /> -It is the opinion of this agency that the proposed <br /> remedial alternative consisting of soil vapor extraction <br /> with granular activated carbon treatment of air <br /> emissions complies with this Corrective Action <br /> Regulation requirement. <br /> -According to Section 2722 (c,d) the responsible party <br /> shall submit a workplan to the regulatory agency which <br /> shall include the proposed actions and proposed schedule <br /> for completion for the soil vapor extraction system <br /> which has been proposed. Please submit this workplan by <br /> March 31, 1994 to PHS/EHD. <br /> -Please note that detection limits for BTEX are . 005 <br /> mg/Kg instead of . 05 mg/Kg as listed of page 13 . <br /> i <br /> i <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
