ACTIVITIES MAY THROUGH OCI0BFR 1991
• Monitoring wells were gauged and sampled 2 May, l6 and 17 July, and 15
October 1991 (figures la and lb).
• A letter was sent to the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District on 25
September 1091 requesting a more prompt consideration of the Authority to
Construct application submitted 31 July 1991. rhe Authority to Construct
application is now being; processed.
• Soil vapor purged from MW3 and RW3 was analyzed for volatile organic lead
4 June 1991 as part of the design process for the proposed sjil vapor and
groundwater treatment system.
• Representatives from Exxon, The Bank of Stockton, site owners and trustees,
and EA met 24 June 1991 to decide the final configuration of the proposed new
site construction as it relates to the layout and design of the proposed treatment
system.
3. PLANNED ACTIVITIES NOVEMBER 1991 THROUGH ,JANUARY 1992
• Monitoring wells will be gauged and sampled in January 1992.
4. DEFINITION OF LIQUID-1111ASE HYDROCARBONS
Liquid-phase hydrocarbons (LPH) were found in wells RW3 and V4 on 15 October 1931. Wells
RW3 and V4 contained 1.10 and 0.03 feet of LPH,respectively. The history of LPH occurrence
and measurements can be found in Table 1.
5. DEFINITION OF DISSOLVhD CONSTITUENT PLUME
Groundwater was sampled 15 October. Samples were analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocar-
bons as gasoline (T1111-9) and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX).
Analytical results for the October sampling are summarized in Table 2 and cumulatively
summarized with previous analytical data in Table 3. Copies of the laboratory analytical reports
are included as Appendix A. Field observation forms, which include data on monitoring well
purging and sampling, are included as Appendix B. Figures 2 and 3 represent the distribution
of TPH-g and benzene, respectively, in the groundwater as indicated-by the 15 October 1991
groundwater analytical results.
wr13in3')4Z1l/lMXx-ry i IFX.3
