Yosemite Boulevard, Manteca, California
ARCO FAC No. 6020/ Our Job No. 3518
Dear Doug:
On behalf of the Atlantic Richfield Company, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., is submitting
applications to temporarily close the existing tanks, permanently close one tank, and install one new tank with
double-wall piping and reinstall existing dispensers at the above-noted facility. Th project will consist of the
removal of the existing piping and dispensers to the tank area, reinstallation of ne double-wall piping under
the dispenser containment, and reinstallation of product dispensers and the install tion of one tank.
As noted above, the application is for an existing site. Two of the three underground storage tanks will be
temporarily closed, but will remain at the site. One 10,000-gallon single-wall fiberglass tank will be removed
and replaced with a 12,000-gallon double-wall tank. These tanks are currently under a separate permit at your
office for an inspection and recertification process. They are not a part of this application; however, it will
be noted that they will remain at the site for the new piping installation. Also, due to the lack of grade at the
site, a vapor condensate trap and piping low point sumps will be installed.
We previously submitted completed applications for approval, plan sets, and equipment specifications. Also
submitted was a check for $2,238 for the accelerated review fees, permanent closure of the piping,
10,000-gallon tank and vapor pod and installation of the new 12,000-gallon tank and piping.
We have requested an accelerated plan review for this project. If you have any questions or comments, please
contact me at this office.
spe y,
Stephen H.
